Sarsia Seed AS, a Norwegian Seed Capital Fund which invests in Norwegian early stage technology companies within the energy/cleantech and biotechnology/life science sectors.
Sarsia Seed is one of four national seed capital funds in Norway, and is financed by public and private investors on a 50/50 basis. Managing a total capital of 333.5 million NOK (approx, 40 mEUR/50 mUSD) it has 15 portfolio companies, with four of them being cleantech. The Fund's management team provides portfolio companies with experience and extensive national and international network of industrial players and co-investors, based on versatile backgrounds and competences. Sarsia Seed is part of a larger commercialisation and investment cluster located at the VilVite Centre which is a science discovery centre for the promotion of science and technology in Bergen.
