Nordic Cleantech Showcase in California

Welcome to the Nordic Cleantech Showcase in Palo Alto!

Where: Cooley LLP offices located at 3175 Hanover Street in Palo Alto

Nordic Cleantech Showcase will include company pitches, insights into cleantech investment scene in the Nordics and a unique opportunity to network with a number of innovative Nordic cleantech companies, including participants of the Nordic Cleantech Open competition – the best of the best from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland. Five of these are early-stage companies and five are growth-stage companies with proven business cases: all of them addressing international markets early on with scalable solutions. 

This is the perfect opportunity to see what the Green Valley of the North has to offer, combining the best cases of early and expansion stage companies. To multiply the networking value we have invited leading cleantech investors from the Nordics to join the trip. All these actors have promising cleantech portfolio companies and are ready to become syndication partners for those looking to invest. 

Programme of the day

03:00 - Registration, networking and exhibit showcase by participating companies

03:30 - Introduction to the Nordic Cleantech investment climate by Lassi Noponen, Chairman at Cleantech Invest, Finland and Alexander Lidgren, Cleantech Scandinavia, Sweden.

Lassi is not only an inspiring speaker, but also the guy who brought in the largest cleantech investment in the Nordics so far, a EUR 120 million to his company WinWinD. He will give a personal introduction to the Nordic Cleantech scene and the possibilities in doing business in this part of the world.

Alexander runs Cleantech Scandinavia, a network for cleantech investors and professionals with interest in the Nordic region since 2007, which has over 70 member organisations, and is a Managing Director of the Nordic Cleantech Open competition.
